Think Local Buy Local
Government’s car sticker to promote Manx food and drink
The sticker complements the island’s food provenance label and the new Guide to Isle of Man Food & Drink, which were launched this month.
It features the artwork of Nicola Dixon, designer of the Isle of Man Post Office’s Green Mann stamps, which show off the Manx countryside and produce.
Geoffrey Boot MHK, Minister for Environment, Food and Agroculture, said: ’Thinking local and buying local benefits our hard-working food and drink producers and boosts our economy, in line with our Food Matters strategy.
’I hope people will display this sticker and spread the word that we produce food and drink to be proud of.
’Like the stamps, the artwork on the sticker highlights the diversity of food production and its role in shaping the Manx landscape.’
Stickers are available free from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, the Food Assembly, Noa Bakehouse, the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal, the summer agricultural shows and Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival.
